Intensive Driver Training on the Sand Track
“Muscle Memory” at the PRO ACADEMY
You don't need snow to prepare for a new job in winter. What really counts at the beginning is a basic understanding of how to operate a PistenBully — and developing a feel for driving it. That’s why aspiring drivers and fans are welcome at the company headquarters in Laupheim during the summer to gain hands-on experience on a massive sand track, under the guidance of PRO ACADEMY trainer Anthony Bowman. This intensive “workout” teaches fundamental skills and builds confidence.
In this special training course, Anthony covers everything beginners need to know — from the technical functions of a snow groomer and proper vehicle operation to the basics of slope grooming. Key focus areas include efficient driving techniques that are gentle on both the machine and the environment, as well as safe vehicle handling. After that, participants are encouraged to practice and develop their driving instinct. This way, they’ll be ready for basic tasks as soon as the first snow falls. Ideally, they’ll follow up with an advanced training session at the PRO ACADEMY Camp in Sölden in November.
At the Heart of PistenBully
What makes this day truly special is the personal, hands-on training in the vehicle — and the exclusive factory tour that follows, including a meal in the Kässbohrer cafeteria. Right in the middle of where every PistenBully comes to life!
No matter which course you choose: At the end of the training, participants receive a certificate of attendance from the PRO ACADEMY, which can be a real advantage when applying for a new job.
